Stroke Rehabilitation
In the United States today, the leading cause of adult disability is a stroke. Dealing with the physical, emotional and behavioral changes after someone you love has survived a stroke can be difficult for each of you. It’s hard to say how long the effects will last, or whether their abilities will improve with time. This uncertainty can leave everyone in the family feeling helpless and confused, wondering how to cope with the immediate challenges of everyday life…and with long-term decisions about whether your loved one can remain at home.
That’s where Stay at Home Senior Care comes in. Rather than moving a stroke survivor to some new environment, we provide experienced caregivers who offer personalized care for your situation. There’s no single formula which is right for every stroke survivor so our stroke care plans are customized to address a wide variety of services, ranging from hourly assistance to around-the-clock care, all by professionals who work with you to create a plan that will best suit your needs.
From scheduling therapists and coordinating transportation to offering the steady, thoughtful companionship that helps reduce stress and depression, our caregivers are well trained and familiar with the many situations where a stroke survivor might require support. Housekeeping, nutritious meal preparation, preventing falls and injuries, offering medication reminders, and assistance with bathing, dressing and personal care are all handled with compassion and friendly concern. We even offer a medical alarm for continuous monitoring.
All of us at Stay at Home Senior Care share the same goal — to help reduce stress on families dealing with the effects of stroke. This gives you and those you love the opportunity to genuinely enjoy spending quality time together while helping them live with dignity and independence.
