how we help seniors

Up-to-Date Training

It is our goal to keep the members of our health care team informed and updated on the latest standards and procedures. Our caregivers are extensively trained in all modern techniques and have all of the specialized skills necessary to assist patients who are living with various types of illnesses. Our training modules were specifically designed to meet all licensing requirements by the state of South Carolina and our caregivers must complete a yearly skills assessment.

We have also developed working relations with support services in our community, such as the Department of Social Services, the Alzheimer’s Association, Veteran’s Affairs, and many more. We do this to give your family member the best resources and support possible.

State-of-the-Art Family Portal

We are continually seeking new and innovative tools and approaches to providing care. The Stay at Home Family Portal is just one more reason why families trust us.

It is an online web site which will allow you and your family to access information such as:

  • Client Profile Information – detailed information about your loved one
  • Schedule – Past and future care visits
  • Plan of Care – Primary diagnosis, special needs, allergies, etc. (If you think that we have missed any information, you can send us a message via the Family Portal’s message center so that we can update our records.)
  • Message Center – Send and Receive Family Portal-related Messages directly to us

The benefits of our Family Portal are vast:

  • Direct Access to Nursing and Care Management
  • Online interaction with us
  • Real Time Review of your loved one’s care and shifts (caregiver notes, photos, etc.)
  • Past and Future Schedules – requests for changes can be made via the portal
  • 24/7 Family Access
  • Direct credit/debit care payment (partial and divided payments can be made, as well as complete invoice payments)

Customized Care Plan

One of our Case Managers will create a customized care plan for you or your loved one’s specific health condition. As health conditions change, we will update this care plan to ensure all needs continue to be met.

We do everything we can to help your family member with everyday occurrences. Our caregivers are always on hand and eager to assist with any and all tasks, such as these, to name a few:

  • Bathing and Dressing
  • Meal Preparation/ Nutrition Monitoring
  • Light Housekeeping and Laundry
  • Transportation/ Errands
  • Exercise
  • Medication Management
